Major Themes
Our Photovoice study culminated in a final exhibition where we presented the photographs that participants took and the themes that they found across all to organize what they learned about how greenspaces impact health in their community.
Theme 1
How do we benefit?

Theme 2
What is the problem?
Example quote: You can put notes and notices on people's doors. But you're not going to see that information if you're an outsider coming in to abuse the land.... Nobody's asked. You're on somebody's property and trying to get around it. You don't get caught smoking here or leaving your trash here. (..) The residents aren't going to stand for it. They're going to beat your ass. Leave your needles and shit on their property.... - Chuck

How can we improve?
Example quote: “while I was homeless I spent almost a year to the day at Casa Paloma women’s shelter be before I got into my own apartment, it was during my time at Casa P. I discovered my love of gardening, rebuilt my support system, and I found my community.” -Amanda
